Surgery went well, and I am recovering....slowly, but recovering. Pain STINKS!! My husband will be returning from deployment the end of this month, so the plan is for orders will resume around the first week of December, and any orders placed in that first week should be ready in time for Christmas.

Why do I need a PLW lens bag? There are so many reasons, I can't even count them all! In addition to moving across the country, buying a house, having a baby, and training a puppy, I'm currently in the process of having to re-establish my portrait photography business in a city where I don't know anybody. I can definitely use some help getting organized right now, and having my camera supplies in order would be a HUGE help (and a definite mood-booster)!

I have bought all kinds of different bags and have yet to find the perfect one. If I have found one that is comfortable enough to carry it gets so beat up that it doesn't last long. That is what has happened recently and now I am stuck carrying my yucky canon backpack, which is so dorky that I cringe every time I load it up. Pro Lens Wear is so cool and hip (as well as appearing very durable). So if nothing else, please pick me to win the Pro Lens Wear contest for fashions sake. A photographer with an uncool bag is a terrible thing :)

Gina, as you can tell from my entry, I desperately need a PLW bag. I have tried many bags before and can honestly say that this one was the worst ever…the handles are flimsy, I can barely fit two of my lenses inside leaving them unprotected from the elements and it was torn before I even got all of my gear inside!

How do I carry my equipment at sessions? My very own pack mule! I load him up, and he follows me everywhere. I desperately need a PLW bag because hubby is running out of hands and limbs, and I can't always take him with me to every shoot. Please take the burden off this poor man and set him free.

Oh, I so need this bag!!! Look at me! I look ridiculous! My camera bag is solid, sits on my hip when I stand, or if I try to bend or move at all it slides to my front and gets in my way. The strap scratches at my neck, and leaves me raw by the end of a shoot. Well, that's if I wear it....lately I'm so frustrated I end up plopping it down on the ground, then I'm scared the whole time that someone will swoop in and steal it when my eye is looking through the viewfinder. It is almost not worth taking, except that I don't like being limited to just one lens, or one battery, etc.

Inside the Bag!

As requested, here are some photos of the inside of the large bag!

The back 3 outside pockets. Your lenses sink down nice and snug in these pockets.

The front 3 pockets, under the cover.

The smaller front pockets will snuggly hold a camera body/grip with no lens.

This is looking at the (small) bag from the left front with the cover folded behind and empty. Here you see the smaller front pockets for your smaller accessories. In the right pocket is a key clip and the attached reel you see on the left can be used for numerous things, including your light meter, expo-disc, etc.

Here is the bag with a Canon 70-200L lens (with hood on correctly) and an external flash. These would be considered the "front" pockets that the cover would cover over when moved to the front of the bag.

These are the back pockets with a Canon 24-70L lens (with lens hood on the right way) and again the external flash. Usually I carry my 85mm in that pocket as my 135L is on my camera, but I wanted you to be able to SEE that there was something in that pocket, as the 85 and 135 both sink down and are snug.

Please feel free to ask if you have ANY questions! I hope this helps you visualize the bag better. Again, it's a lens bag, meant to be used while at a session or wedding and not for storage of your equipment. If you are looking for a well made camera bag, check out Tracy Joy.

As of right now all orders that have been placed are being filled and will ship within the next few weeks. Any one that wants to place an order needs to get it placed NO LATER than January 18th, and it will ship by February 11th. Any orders placed after that date will be not be filled until the end of February.

Reason being, many of you know, my husband is in the Navy and we will be transferring to San Diego, CA mid-February. Due to the move, all processing will have to be put on hold for that time while we drive across country and get unpacked.

I have a bunch of new photos of new bags to show you from the end of the year and from this year! Cute stuff!! Thank you for your understanding and support!!

I hope you all had a very blessed and Happy Holiday season! Mine was spent packing and moving in preparation of our Navy transfer to San Diego next month. Sounds like a blast huh? Packing up the day after Christmas is NO fun, but it went without too many "glitches".

There are a bunch of new and exciting things in store for PLW, including the final steps of the new personalized covers! I am also looking into more add-ons like matching camera straps and zippered pockets in the covers! 2008 looks to be exciting and a year of big growth for PLW so stay tuned in for all the fun!!

Yes what you ask?? Yes, the PLW Large AND Small will BOTH hold your 70-200 WITH lens hood attached! I've received about a dozen questions on that just today, so I thought I'd come post here for you! I do recommend that you turn your lens hood around backwards when putting it in the bag, but yes it will hold it. As well it will also hold your 24-70 with lens hood. Same thing, I recommend turning it around on your lens.

First, I want to thank everyone for your unending encouragement and support! The enormous response to Pro Lens Wear has been fantastic and exciting! As well, thank you to everyone who has recently placed an order! Our current turn-around time is 1-3 weeks. It's awesome to see the different design combinations that everyone is coming up with! More photos will be posted soon (wait till you see the hot pink one!). I have also been on the hunt for more fun and funky fabrics, so stay tuned for photos of those as well!

How PLW was born!!

Hello! I wanted to take a moment to tell you a little about how Pro Lens Wear was born! I was approached by a group of colleagues who were familiar with the variety of lens bags available and with my seamstress abilities. After much discussion about certain lens bags, my colleagues and I came up with a list of features and a preliminary design that directly suits THEIR needs - and I was asked to research how to make a bag by these specs at an affordable price. After the realization that I could offer a product that would not only be customized to meet their needs, that weren't currently being addressed in any other bag of that quality and price, Pro Lens Wear was born! There are currently multiple lens bags on the market, and at no time did I feel there was any conflict of copyright, and in fact I have researched this further and that is certainly not the case. Let me say that again- there is no copyright violation.

I am offering a product that I am proud to say has some great features, including 2 different size options. Colleagues have specifically requested things that I have been able to tailor to their needs, including a removable strap, a shoulder pad, a light meter reel, a cell phone pocket, a key clip and much more! There are many differences from the inspirational bags and the PLW photos posted here. Yes, in a photo, they may look the same.

Pro Lens Wear may not be the bag for you (although I feel I offer a great and unique product and so far so do my testers). There is no doubt there are other bags that may fit your needs better, and I encourage you to search out those differences and make your choice based on what you need...just as we do with a plethora of other similar but different product which maybe similar but unique. (albums, photo purses, jewelry, photo tiles, etc).

I would appreciate the support of the photographer community as this product was designed for you. PLW is continually undergoing development and will have many different design options and accessories available. More photos will be posted later this week with the Small PLW bag available. I welcome input from anyone who would like to contact me. I wish nothing but success for the other lens bag companies as well!!
